Polar Rose is a startup company based out of Malmö (Sweden) and Warsaw (Poland), with a small team in place in San Francisco.

We are building new ways to sort, search, and share digital photos based on the photo content. Using superior computer vision technology Polar Rose can tell who's in a photo.

Senior Java Developer - Platform Developer (Warsaw)

Required Experience:

Experience with Java application server infrastructure.
Exceptional object-oriented software design and programming skills.
Hands-on experience with Spring
Hands-on experience with MySQL and a very good understanding of SQL
Strong understanding of technologies and products used to assist in the development process like Subversion, Maven, Eclipse.
Experience across the complete application development lifecycle including investigation, design, prototyping, implementation, testing and deployment.
Passionate about delivering high-quality, rock-solid software
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent; an M.Sc. or Ph.D. is a plus.
Fluent in speaking and writing English.
Excellent communication and release planning skills.

Pluses (nice-to-haves):

Experience with Amazon Web Services
Experience building loosely coupled service oriented infrastructure
