Polar Rose is a startup company based in Malmö (Sweden), with a small but rapidly growing team in Warsaw (Poland). We are building new ways to search using computer vision technology and face recognition. Our patented method for extracting 3D data from 2D pictures and the technology to analyze the content of images provides the starting point of our web image search services that will be successively rolled out during 2008.

Polar Rose is seeking a Technical Project Manager for our Web Services team in Warsaw, Poland. The team is responsible for the design and implementation of our visual search infrastructure, including processing of images and storage of data, as well as web site and internal and external APIs.
The position includes structuring and being the single point of contact for releases and to coordinate the work of the Web Services team in order to meet the release requirements and deadlines.
The Technical Project Manager will manage the project schedules, timelines and critical milestones a team of 8 developers and testers, and must balance the priority of solid systems with the principle of ship-early-ship-often.
The Technical Project Manager reports to the CTO and works directly with the Product Manager.
